MOT Greater London at Rishi’s MOT Centre

What is an MOT test?

The MOT is the annual Ministry of Transport test that checks your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to drive. It is a legal requirement for most cars once they reach the age where a test is due.

At Rishi’s MOT Centre we carry out MOT testing on all makes of car from our independent garage at 1A Thorngrove Road, Upton Park, E13 0SH.

How much is an MOT in Greater London at our garage?

Our MOT starts from £49.99. The test takes around 60 minutes, so you can plan your day around it.

If you would like your car serviced at the same time, our Major Service & MOT bundle starts from £360.00 and takes around 180 minutes. It combines a major service and the MOT test in one visit. You can read more on our car servicing page.

What does an MOT involve?

An MOT is a general safety and roadworthiness inspection. In broad terms, a tester looks over the parts of the car that matter for safe driving. These typically include:

• Brakes and steering
• Suspension
• Tyres and wheels
• Lights and signalling
• Other safety-related parts of the vehicle

The exact checks follow the national MOT standard. We cannot promise a pass, because that depends on the condition of your car on the day.

What happens if my car fails its MOT?

If your car does not pass, we give you a clear, itemised list of the repairs needed. You are not left guessing what the problem is or what needs doing first.

We can carry out the repairs in our workshop, for example work on brakes, suspension or tyres, and then arrange your MOT retest. That saves you taking the car to a second garage and explaining it all again.

Who is our MOT for?

Our MOT is for any driver in the Upton Park area and across Greater London who needs a test on a car, whatever the make. It suits you if:

• your MOT is due and you want a straightforward price from £49.99
• you want a service and an MOT done in one visit
• you would like your tyres looked at, as we also offer a tyre service that takes around 45 minutes
• you want honest, plain advice if something needs fixing
